Corporate headquarters, where my environment design adventures all started back in 2016. Over the next 5 years, dozens of different initiatives and hundreds of 3D model variations have been created for this location alone -- but let's start from the beginning. The project included the creation of new conference rooms, a corridor area between sides of the floor, wall treatments, and some communal working spaces.
Later I redesigned the executive wing, which included new layouts and furniture for 15+ director and VP offices, a new meeting room with an interactive "touch screen" wall, as well as a larger executive meeting room with glass walls. I was also able to push for our own filming studio on the floor!
This eventually expanded to include even more conference rooms, a new workstation arrangement strategy for 150+ individuals, flexible work nooks, open collaboration areas, interactive elements, and wall treatments. Even our Retention and Billing/Credit neighbors got involved!
Then COVID-19 happened. We pivoted to accommodate new safety measures for those who'd be on-site, as DISH is considered an essential business. Many different strategies were used to balance occupancy needs/restrictions (50% at the time), available furniture, and square footage.
We ultimately went with the standard "every other seat empty" approach for simplicity's sake. Now that some semblance of normalcy is returning, the newest redesigns resemble a mix of previous ideas with post-covid thinking. These are currently being built out in anticipation of a larger return to campus in July. Coming soon!
